How to Live as Your New Self

You have evolved.  You have opened up to the unlimited possibilities available to you. You are no longer the same person anymore.

But how do you live this way and navigate this new path? What does this look like, living in a higher vibration?

Living as your new self encompasses Being and doing things differently than you have before.  Remaining open to what tomorrow holds, looking forward to it, with the knowing that more change is always certain to come.

We are ever changing and evolving beings. Therefore, it makes sense that on occasion, this could be daily, monthly, yearly or as the needs arises, you should take time to get to know yourself anew.  At a certain point in time, you are able to look at yourself with fresh eyes.

You will see something come up in your life, an old trigger perhaps, and recognize that you no longer respond in the same way. You have changed, grown, evolved, aware that there is another way.

At times, there may be that same old record playing in the background. That past dialogue going on in your mind. Your first instinct may be to respond as you would have in the past, but this is where you need to take a pause.

This time may simply be a moment, a breath, but nonetheless you need this moment, you deserve this moment.  It is within this space that you can choose to do things differently.

If you just go through the motions, you deny yourself this opportunity.  Be present and allow, let your transformation take root.  Change may take time, more often it simply takes practice.

How can you best make use of these moments, the gentle pause?

·      Ask yourself why? Why are you feeling this way right now? What is at the core of this feeling?  Is it fear?  Maybe this is something you used to be scared of, but no longer fear.  Is it anger? Maybe this is something that used to trigger you, but now you recognize that you are able to take things lighter. It doesn’t sting the way it used to.  You can use this moment to release it and let it go!

·      Slow things down, take a breath.  Give yourself this gift of time where you can let your initial reaction settle for a minute.  Use this moment to take a step back and look at the bigger picture, allowing you to see things more clearly.   While you may have previously responded in a certain way, maybe as a means to protect yourself, now you know that you are safe and whole just as you are. Breathe, remind yourself that you are safe. All is well in your world.

·      Practice self-compassion. Remind yourself there is no rush, this moment is for you. There is no race. The ship isn’t leaving without you because you are the ship, the captain and the crew, and therefore it only leaves when you are ready.

·      Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! There are no small accomplishments, every change is meaningful.  Celebrate the beauty that is you!
